Planning Your Freedom Day

Roadmap Unveiled
After 3 long months, Sydneysiders are finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel. A roadmap out of lockdown is being released. In light of this, we thought it would be great to share some tips on how to make sure your #FreedomDay is safe in a way you can still enjoy.
Stay within Health Orders
We are all excited and the rules are constantly changing and not the mention confusing! Make sure you are inviting the correct amount of people – there are different rules for those who are vaccinated v. not vaccinated – annoying yes! But the reality of the situation is you must follow what applies to your circumstances. Stay on top of the government rules – even up to the morning of your event! If you have to,any people because the restrictions have changed, unfortunately, the easiest thing to do is to postpone!
Check Terms & Conditions when booking entertainment
Most businesses have COVID terms and conditions section by now, offering you credit with zero penalty if you cancel due to COVID. Having said this, make sure you know the clear TCs with each company you booking prior to paying a deposit – the extra time you take to double-check this could save you a lot of money, stress, and disappointment later on. Of course, if you book with Western Sydney Jump, we have our TCs on the invoice when you pay the deposit. In the event of canceling due to sudden changes with COVID rules, we allow a credit note without penalty.
Hygiene is a must!
By now, we all know hand sanitiser should be available if you are hosting an event but there are extra measures you can take to ensure safety for your guests. Make sure there are a couple of places for handwashing easily accessible with soap and paper towels or single-use hand towels. Avoid reusable hand towels.
Provide small serving tongs for hot and cold nibbles or encourage your guests to pick up food using napkins rather than fingers. Unfortunately, the term ‘finger-food has quickly expired in this COVID Safe environment!
Most of all – have fun!
